  • Always use a cover to ensure you don't lose any heat.

  • Inspect your heater for any scale, mineral deposits or corrosion.
  • Test your water daily for its pH level and chlorine
  • Test for total alkalinity levels once a month.

Magnum Filter Cartridges are made with high quality spun polyester and the most up-to-date manufacturing machinery and processes to ensure that you receive the highest quality filter cartridges on the market for your spa pool and swimming pool.  And did I mention they are New Zealand made!
All cartridge filters should be cleaned at least every 2 months to ensure that they don't clog up.  Filter clogging is caused by soaps, chemicals, perspiration, body fats, oils and fine particles of dust or dirt.  Depending on the amount of use and how well maintained the cartridge is - usually  it will need to be replaced within 1 to 2 years.
Here are a few things you can do to maximise the life of your filter:
  • Maintain the pool water chemistry in proper balance.
  • Clean the cartridge in accordance with its cleaning instructions.
  • Do not scrub the filter with a stiff brush.
  • Do not use a high pressure hose.
  • Rotate two cartridges to prolong the life of the filters considerably.
  • Use Spawise Cartridge Cleaner to keep your filters clean!
